The School of Environmental Science and Management (SchEMS), established in 1999, is the affiliated institution of Pokhara University. This year marks, 24th year of SchEMS’ establishment.
SchEMS offers the following academic programs:
- B.Sc. in Environmental Management since 1999
- M.Sc. in Environmental Management since 2000 (The curriculum of MSc Environment has been updated in 2023. Now it provides two specialization programs (a) Environmental Science and (b) Climate Change)
- BBA (Bachelors in Business Administration) since 2008
- BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) since 2018
In addition to its academic programs, SchEMS extends its expertise to encompass research, technical investigations for development works, and training services. The of the prominent areas in which SchEMS has been providing its services are Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), Climate Finance, Climate Change Loss of Damage, Mainstreaming Environment, Mainstreaming Climate Change into the development works, Climate Adaptation studies, Environmental Baseline Studies & GIS remote sensing, Data Analysis and Management, IT related trainings.
